The airport is located in northwest Berlin, eight kilometers from the city center. Tegel primarily serves Western European destinations.

Lufthansa (LH) is Germany's principal airline

Other airlines flying to Berlin Tegel:

Airport facilities: 
The airport offers snack bars and restaurants, a post office, bank/bureau de change, ATMs, florist, newsagents, duty-free shops, lost and found service, 24 hours first aid, travel agents and tourist information . 
There are hotels near the airport. 
Car hire is available from Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt.

Transport to the city: 

JetExpressBus TXL leaves the airport every ten minutes for Potsdamer Platz, Friedrichstrasse and Unter den Linden 
Bus 128 connects to the U6 line at Kurt-Schumacher-Platz, 
Bus 109 and express bus X9 depart every 5 to 10 minutes  and connect to the U7 at Jakob-Kaiser-Platz before continuing on to Bahnhof Zoo.

Taxis are located outside the arrivals hall. The fare to Berlin City center  is about 20€

The airport is located in the southeast of the city, 18km and 22km from the Eastern and Western centers respectively. Schönefeld was the primary airport for East Berlin and now handles flights mainly to Eastern Europe .
Major airlines: 
Aeroflot, Britannia, buzz, Condor, El Al, Hapag Lloyd and Turkish Airlines.

Airport facilities: 
The airport offers snack bars and restaurants, a post office, bank/bureau de change, ATMs, florist, newsagents, duty-free shops, lost and found service, 24 hours first aid, travel agents and tourist information . 
There are hotels near the airport. 
Car hire is available from Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt.

Transport to the city: 

AirportExpress Schönefeld train, which runs every 30 minutes and stops at four stations in East Berlin and at Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten.
The airport station is located 500m from the airport and there is a free shuttle bus connecting the two every 10 minutes . 

The station is also served by S-Bahn S 9 and S 45 and some  rail services. 

Bus 171 connects the airport with the U-Bahn line U7 at Rudow. 

Taxis are available 24 hours a day.  The fare to Berlin City center  is about 30€
